Buhari Will Achieve A Lot With Kano Visit — Sen Barau

President Muhammadu Buhari will achieve four critical political things during his visit to Kano State today, Senator Jibrin Barau (APC, Kano), has said.


Buhari is expected to visit Kano to commission, inspect and lay foundation for multi billion naira projects embarked upon by the state government.


Barau who is the Chairman, Senate Committee on Tertiary Institutions and TETFund, said the visit would afford the president the opportunity to thank the people of Kano State who gave him the highest votes during the 2015 election.


“Aside affording him the opportunity to thank the people, it will also enable him to listen to the wishes and aspirations of we the people of Kano. My understanding is that during the visit, he is going to relate with stakeholders and opinion moulders,” he said.


The visit, the senator said, would also enable President Buhari the opportunity to tell the people of Kano State what he had done for them.


He said the visit would consolidate the strong cordial relationship between the president and the people of Kano.


“Aside the people of Daura/Katsina where the president is from, there is nowhere in the country where he is liked and cherished like in Kano State; this visit will cement this relationship,” he said.


Asked whether the president was going to be endorsed for 2019, the Senator said: “We have a leader, Governor (Abdullahi) Ganduje, and you know we do things collectively. At the right time we will do that. We will do this collectively, but you know we are always with Buhari.”
