The agreement term covers that Hospital Assist Nigeria Ltd would renovate, upgrade and equip the radiology department of the hospital as well as train the hospital staff.
Speaking at the signing of the agreement which is a form of Public Private Partnership, state Commissioner of Health, Dr. Kuden Kamshak, said the Lalong administration was determined to upgrade all state owned health centres.
Kamshak stated that the total cost for the contract was put at N850 million with Plateau State government contributing 30 percent.
Chief Executive officer of Hospital Assist Nigeria Ltd, Dr. Wale Alabi, appreciated the state government and pledged to deliver in six months.
Earlier, Governor Simon Lalong who was represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Rufus Bature, said his administration was determined to upgrade the health sector to discourage people from seeking medical care outside the state.
