A housewife identified as Salamatu Shehu hacked her husband to death in Rafin Gero village of Anka LGA of Zamfara State, Daily Trust gathered yesterday.
The killing followed a fight between the couple after the husband indicated intention in a second wife, sources said. He decided to divorce the first wife after he could no longer bear her harsh attitude towards him. Salamatu grabbed a stool during an argument and hit her husband and he fell unconscious. He was rushed to hospital and died shortly afterwards.
The spokesman of the state police command, SP Muhammad Shehu, confirmed the arrest.
