“I feel obliged to intimate you of the command’s successes in combating crime and criminality in Kaduna State within the past two weeks, following the collaboration with our core principles of community partnership in crime prevention and detection in the state.
“The Kaduna State Command is going to work strictly based on international core values of policing with integrity. Ensuring that the rule of law prevails in our actions and activities; respecting the diversity, displaying courage, showing compassion and demonstrating professionalism and operating within the principles of democratic policing as well as shunning corruption with the sole aim of making Kaduna State safer and secure.
“Under my watch as Commissioner of Police Kaduna State Command, we intend to intensify efforts in fighting crime while respecting the fundamental rights of all individuals and upholding the principle of zero tolerance to corruption, impunity and indiscipline, for successful democratic governance in line with the ideals of Kaduna State government and the federal government of Nigeria,’’ he said.
According to him, the Kaduna State Command is committed to the philosophies of the present Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim K. Idris, and has adapted intelligence led policing aggressive and well-structured visibility patrol systems which involve a periodic, unscheduled but adequately organised raiding that is proactive, preventive and offensive, against all forms of crimes.
The suspects paraded include two suspected kidnappers, 14 suspected Armed Robbers, three suspected counterfeiters and one suspected motorcycle thief.
Exhibits recovered include one locally fabricated gun, two long Dane guns, six live cartridges, 1366 live 7.62mm ammunition, large bundles of counterfeit US dollars, three motorcycles, one cutlass, eight wrist watches and one knife and assorted charms.
