Recession: Sokoto Youths Urge PMB To Take Concrete Measures (By: leadership.ng)

Youths in Sokoto State have called on President Muhammadu Buhari to take very urgent but pragmatic measures to salvage the country’s economy from eminent collapse under his watch.
The youths who expressed worries that Nigerians are severely feeling the brunt of the recession wondered why the federal government cannot inject part of the recovered loots into the economy.

Speaking to LEADERSHIP on the pains Nigerians are going through, Suleiman Shehu said the hallmark of good governance is not measured by the extent of pains created in the citizenry rather through a general improvement on the living standard of the led.

According to him, in as much as Nigerians, especially, the poor masses believed in Buhari and risked their lives for his electoral victory in 2015, the president should as well reciprocate by refusing to create platforms that will inflict hardship on the poor masses.
Shehu further commended PMB’s position on diversification of the nation’s revenue from dependence on oil to non oil sources.
He however admonished the government to give all the necessary incentives towards supporting agriculture if the nation truly wanted diversification.
