I Am Proud To Have Served PDP - Dasuki

Former National Security Adviser (NSA), retired Col. Sambo Dasuki on Friday told a Federal High Court in Abuja that he is proud to have served the government of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Dasuki, who was testifying in the trial of former PDP spokesman, Olisa Metuh, said he knew Metuh as the publicity secretary of the party.

He however insisted that he is not aware of the relationship between Metuh, his company, Destra Investment Ltd, and the ONSA.

Earlier, Justice Okon Abang dismissed Dasuki's application for time to consult his records before testifying in the case.

The judge said it is the duty of the witness to answer to questions and not to give conditions before testifying.

“The fact that the witness is in custody of the state has nothing to do with the ability of counsel to 1st defendant to ask questions that will elicit relevant answers.

“What is relevant is the ability of counsel to the 1st defendant to elicit relevant evidence from the witness to enhance the success of his case. The detention of the witness in custody of the state is not relevant," he said.
